Five Recipes for Leftover Halloween Candy

Happy November! Whaaaaat can’t believe I just said that. Fall has just flown by and I’m minorly freaking out about everything I need to do before I leave for Europe for Thanksgiving/gift baskets/the holidays in general, but still excited for it! In the meantime, I’m guessing you may have some leftover Halloween candy. Not that there’s anything wrong with saving your leftovers for the occasional daily chocolate craving, but in case you’re looking to get rid of it; I’m sharing five of my favorite recipes using up leftover Halloween candy.

Peanut Butter Layer Bars

I make these peanut butter layer bars with a graham cracker crumb base, chocolate and peanut butter chips, and heath pieces. Swap the heath pieces for peanut butter M&Ms or Reeses Pieces, and omg they are so good! I actually think I’m gonna change the recipe because I like them so much better this way. You could also chop up leftover Reeses.

Candy Bar Blondies

Sally’s Baking Addiction is one of my favorite blogs, actually one of the first blogs I ever followed. I swear by her recipes, especially cookies and bars. I’m a chewy cookie kind of gal, and Sally has the best chewy recipes! These Candy Bar Blondies are just that and work with essentially any chocolatey, nut or caramel candy. I made these with Kit Kats, Snickers and Hershey’s and they were delish. The recipe comes together in about ten minutes (before baking) and doesn’t require a mixer or anything fancy!

Rolo Pretzel Turtles

This is an easy one. Leftover Rolos? Melt them on top of some pretzels and top with pecans for a salty-sweet snack.

Coconut Flour Chocolate Chunk Bars

Ambitious Kitchen is another one of my favorite recipe blogs. Monique makes all kinds of gluten and dairy-free treats, which I came to appreciate when I tried a low fodmap diet/Whole 30. These bars are made with coconut flour and no refined sugar. I was shocked that they were still sweet and by how moist the bars were! I made these with Hershey’s, but I think they would be great with an Almond Joy or Mounds Bar. Or really any chocolate…

M&M Double Doozies

My mom had a store in Fayette Mall growing up, so I spent a fair share of my childhood roaming the mall corridors. On Saturdays, my Dad would take us to visit Mom then we would get Chick-Fil-A for lunch followed by an M&M Double Doozie from Great American Cookie Co. Two monster M&M cookies sandwiched by a thick cream filling. My blood sugar spikes just thinking about it, but man am I craving one right now. A great recipe for leftover M&Ms!

Happy baking!

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels
