Sunday Reading V.18

Another week! I swear the four day weeks feel the longest. I got to check out the new Atomic Ramen this week. I’m so excited for more Asian food offerings in Lex; y’all know how much I love it. Did a date night at County Club and I also had dinner with the fam at the Tulip and finally got the lobster roll I’ve been craving for months. So no shortage of food around here.

Saturday was finally time for a tailgate! I ended up staying at the stadium until 7pm (it was a noon game) oops. I’m so excited for football season though. Hope y’all are ready for some tailgating recipes!

Highs & Lows

High: Gotta be being back in Commonwealth Stadium (I just can’t call it Kroger Field yet…)

Low: My boyfriend’s niece is very sick. It’s so hard to see the ones you love hurting. Asking for your prayers 🙂

Links I Love

Move over white chocolate, pink chocolate now exists.

I usually like to make my own tomato sauce, but sometimes you just need quick dinner: the best grocery store tomato sauces.

Speaking of tailgating.. slow cooker appetizer recipes.

Acne spot treatments that you probably already have in your kitchen.

Don’t be fooled by food labels.

The single best item from every fast food chain. I’m there on the Steak & Shake Frisco Melt and Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, but Sonic’s Jalapeno Poppers are where it’s at!!

Vegetables that are healthier when cooked.

Be sure to keep your light bright & shining; you never know just how many people you may be a lighthouse for. You never know just how many people find their way home, in even the wildest storms, because you are there.

Hope y’all are enjoying this sunny Sunday in Lexington. My heart is certainly with those in Florida and everywhere else being devastated by the hurricane. Sending you love!

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels
