Local Online Workout Roundup

Crazy times we’re in my friends! While we’re all spending more time in our houses these days so many local fitness studios are offering online classes. Most of these you don’t need equipment for, but I have a few things I love for working out at home. These bands take body weight resistance to the next level. I also have five pound, eight pound and 15 pound weights.

All of the below studios are ones I frequent in person and recommend and/or have tried their online classes.

  • CycleYou: I’ve gone to this studio for years. Of all the options in this list, I’d say they are the most approachable for all skill levels and offer modifications. Free cycle, barre, and full body/strength workouts on YouTube. They are also renting out their spin bikes and weights. A bike and weights are $125/month or two sets of weights are $25/month.
  • Everybody Fights: This is where I’ve been working out most recently. Their classes are really challenging in a great way, I feel like I always get a full body workout. Free boxing, strength, cardio and yoga classes on Instagram Live daily. They also offer a digital ‘live’ product, $100 for a year membership or $49.99 for a month, includes live classes and on demand access, you can try free for 30 days.
  • Lift: I trained with Wes at Lift before my wedding. They’ve posted a strength workout on Instagram and I’m hoping will do more.
  • Reach: A newer studio I’ve tried that uses Versa Climbers, a machine kind of like an upright stair machine, and combines strength/weights etc. They’ve posted several free videos via Reach Remote that are mostly full body/strength. You can currently rent one of their Versa Climbers for $600/60 days that comes with access to classes. They also posted this hilarious/genius workout for Andy’s press conferences.
  • Sweat: A local studio that does barre cardio, yoga, spin and HIIT classes. Their classes are very fast paced and definitely get your heart rate up. They’ve been doing free Instagram live workouts every day, but I believe they are ending that soon. They will be offering video classes, maybe on their YouTube channel, but I’m waiting for them to announce!
  • That Sweat Life: A previous Lexington blogger, Seersucker & Saddles, paired up with Indy trainer Mark Morgan to create this workout guide. It has 11 workouts, some you need weights and bands, and some you can do with no equipment. I’ve had it for a few months and turn to their workouts when I’m traveling etc., but it’s coming in handy now and is on sale for $10.
  • T.R.I.M. Bootcamp: T.R.I.M. is the weightloss bootcamp I’ve followed off and on for several years. It’s what I followed before my wedding. They are doing free Instagram live workouts on Saturdays at 9:30am and randomly throughout the week that you need no special equipment for. If you’re looking for some accountability during all this time at home, T.R.I.M. is starting a new round on April 6 and you can use code LEXEATS for $10 off! The program comes with five new workouts every week and accompanying videos. They also have a program for new moms, SmoBaby.
  • Lastly

You all also gave me so many recommendations of studios offering online classes. I can’t personally vouch for these, but my they each came recommended:

I know it’s a strange time and the urge to stay on the couch and hide under the blanket is real, but I’d encourage you to try one of these out! I always feel so much better after a workout. If this kind of movement isn’t your style, just go for a walk every day. If you have any at home workouts you recommend, feel free to comment below and I’ll add them to the list!

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels
