Skincare Routine

TBH, I’m stuck in my house and don’t have much else to do other than face masks, so I thought I’d share an updated skincare routine, ha! I shared my pre-wedding routine a while back, and while the core remains the same, I have tried a few new products I wanted to share with you. I’m certainly no beauty blogger, but I follow a lot and am just a real person who wants good skin without spending an ish ton of money.

I’ve been using Tula for almost a year and a half. Before I had been using mostly drugstore brands and after hearing so much about Tula I decided to give it a shot and have been obsessed since. I can see a noticeable difference in the tone and brightness of my skin, as well as fewer breakouts. I love the products so much I became an affiliate after using them for a year, so you can get 15% off your Tula purchase with the code LEXEATS. The majority of my routine is from Tula with a few other brands sprinkled in there.

AM Routine

  1. Wash my face with Tula Purifying Face Cleanser
  2. Apply witch hazel toner with a cotton ball (I actually use these resusable pads to reduce waste)
  3. Tula Acne Clearing & Tone Correcting Gel
  4. The Ordinary’s “Buffet” Serum, a kind of all around vitamin and anti-aging serum
  5. Tula Aqua Infusion Gel Cream as moisturizer
  6. If I’m feeling extra fancy I will use Tula’s Rose Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm before makeup. It brightens up the eyes, but definitely is not a necessity. I like it best to freshen up my makeup if I’m going from work to a dinner or something.

PM Routine

My am and pm routines are pretty similar with a few exceptions. I remove my makeup with Tula’s Replenishing Cleansing Oil. It melts away your makeup without drying out your skin. Then I follow the same steps as 1-4 of my morning routine. Then I use this Prickly Pear Seed Oil that’s supposed to be like magic in preventing wrinkles and fine lines. I finish with a moisturizer. If my skins feeling more dry and dehydrated, I use Weleda’s Skin Food Light Nourishing Cream. If I don’t need the moisture I just use a drugstore night cream.. tbh I’m not brand loyal I just make sure to use something with retinol.

If you’re interested in the Tula products you can actually buy the purifying cleanser, acne gel and aqua infusion gel cream in a set for a discount here.  Don’t forget to use the code LEXEATS for an extra 15% off!

When I’m Feeling Fancy

I also love a good at home mask. I use this The Ordinary Salicylic mask when I’m getting breakouts. I can actually feel the product working, drying out my skin, but not in a bad way. I also love a Dr G Aqua Collagen Mask before events because I feel like I can actually see it plump up my skin and feel the moisturizing. And they’re $23.79 for a 10 pack! If my under eyes need a boost I use these Gold & Snail Hydrogel Eye Patches, $9.69 for a 60 pack. I use this Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Revealing Peel once every week or two. The product actually peels off so you can feel it working. I also love this Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask from The Body Shop.

Well thanks for coming to my skincare Ted Talk 😉 Promise I’ll have some more food content for ya later this week.

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels
