Helllloooooooo taco night. Got a simple recipe for ya, friends. I prefer to make my own taco seasoning, one, because it’s pretty easy. I think I first made it because I forgot to buy taco seasoning, then realized I had everything I needed to make it at home. And two, by making your own you can guarantee there are no weird additives and control how much salt is in there.
Just add a tablespoon to ground beef for tacos, in the crockpot with chicken breast for shredded chicken or to sauteed vegetables for fajitas. So many possibilities! You could even add some of the seasoning to oil and vinegar for a spiced up salad dressing or to scrambled eggs for a southwestern breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp mustard powder
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a small bowl and whisk well to combine
- Store in an air-tight container
