Sunday Reading V.32 / Fat Tuesday Round-Up

Greetings from Park City! Dave surprised me with a trip out here as my Christmas present. Some friends joined us and we’ve had the best time skiing, eating and hanging at the house. I am not a great skier; I think I improved a *tiny* bit, but let’s just say you won’t be seeing me in the Olympics anytime soon. We ate so well while we were here. Stand outs are Grappa, an Italian spot with the most amazing Butternut Squash Cannelloni, and Shabu, an awesome sushi restaurant. You must order the Skywalker Roll from Shabu; it’s seriously the best sushi roll I’ve ever eaten.

I’m sad to leave vacation mode, but ready to get back in a routine. We’ve had a great time, but definitely over-indulged a bit.. like ordering five appetizers at lunch. It’s bad y’all. Too bad it’s Valentine’s Day and Fat Tuesday this week! I think Dave and I are laying low for VDay, but I definitely need some Bourbon ‘n Toulouse and King Cake on Tuesday.

Highs & Lows

High: I’m so pumped the Olympics are back! I had kind of forgotten it was an Olympic year. I get so emotionally invested in the athletes and love watching people accomplish their dreams! I’ve already been converted into a huge Red Gerard fan (the 17 year old American who won gold in snowboarding slope style.) USA!

Low: The last day of vacation is always like Sunday Scaries x100. Need something to look forward to next!
