Y’all, I’m a little embarrassed to call this a recipe, because it barely is. “Take four ingredients and throw them in a pot and stir” is about as easy as it gets and definitely what you’d call “semi-homemade”, but y’all asked for easy entertaining recipes for the holidays and Sweet Chili Meatballs are just that. My mom always makes meatballs for our family Christmas party with equal parts barbecue sauce and grape jelly. I wanted to spice it up a bit, so I added some sweet chili sauce. It has a bit of a kick, but plenty of sweetness from the grape jelly.
Sweet Chili Meatballs
Ingredients
- 32oz frozen meatballs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (something like Sweet Baby Ray’s)
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 cup grape jelly
Directions
- Heat a medium-large sauce pan over medium heat
- Add all ingredients to the sauce pan and stir to combine
- Continue to stir until sauce fully combines
- Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally
Told ya it was easy! When I did some polls on Instagram about what kind of holiday content you wanted, I got so may responses about how to juggle preparing all the things when you’re entertaining. My biggest piece of advice would be that you don’t have to do it all! Lean on easy recipes that may skip a step (like frozen meatballs instead of making them yourself.) Give yourself grace! Serve a batched cocktail so you don’t feel like you need to be fixing drinks all night. If I’m hosting and responsible for all the food, I typically order one dish catered, like a tray of fried chicken or something like that. Biscuits & blessings,
