Yo, yo, yo it’s Sunday again! JK it’s Wednesday. I had a busy weekend… Instead of links this week, I’m sharing where to get your St. Patrick’s Day fix in Lexington! Bring on the Reuben’s and green beer!
Highs and Lows
High: SEC champs babayyyyyy!! I’ll be honest, I wasn’t super confident this year. So proud of my Cats!
Low: Went to two memorial services this week. I know death is a part of life and I believe they are in such a better place than this world, but my heart still hurts for the loved ones left behind.
St. Patrick’s Day Eats
Drake’s is offering a specialty St. Patrick’s Day menu all week long. Y’all, I’ve been counting down the days for the beer cheese on this menu. It’s so dang good; please try it. Plus green beer and a St. Paddy’s Day party on Friday!
Harry’s is also offering a special menu all week. Reuben’s, a beer cheese burger and whiskey-glazed salmon.
County Club is serving a Pastrami Reuben.
Local’s is serving a Reuben and Corned Beef.
Alfalfa’s is serving Corned Beer, Steak and Guinness Pie and Vegetarian Shepard’s Pie.
The Greentree Tea Room is serving an Irish tea this week including potato leek soup, Irish oat scone with blackberry jam, corned beef salad, Bailey’s brownies and pistachio cupcakes. Of course, Irish blend tea will be served. If you’ve never had afternoon tea you should try it; one of my favorite things!
And now I’ll get back to stuffing my face with beer cheese. Let me know if I’ve missed anything lucky!
Biscuits & blessings,
Leels
