Sunday Reading, V15

Happy Sunday friends! I’ve had a whirlwind of a few weeks; just returned from Panama City for a week for my best friend’s wedding. It was just too sweet – we danced in the rain (actually we danced all week long) and jumped in the ocean in our bridesmaids dresses, ate a lot of seafood and got to spend much needed time with friends. The week before was a packed week in Lex Eats world – made it to OBC Kitchen and Pasta Garage for Lexington Eats Week, plus a work event with Blanton’s, a photo shoot for something fun I’ll tell you about soon, and a massive work project. You could say I definitely needed this week at the beach.

Isn’t she the most beautiful bride?!
Highs & Lows

High: Ooooooobviously watching my best friend get married!

Low: I’ve been running myself ragged and I am mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted. It’s been a tough few weeks all around, but a little getaway got me restored in no time.

OBC Kitchen’s Lexington Eats Week menu was too good. I’m working on convincing our Chef to put this salad on the regular menu 😉

Quote of the Week

Sunday Reading on lexeats.com

I manage several social media accounts between work and my blog and have encountered a few internet trolls over the past week. I’m not going to give them the validation of explaining the full story, but I’ve been amazed at what people would say to strangers on the internet, whether that be a real person or a business account. I cannot fathom showing that kind of blind cruelty to someone. I realize that I’ve been given a platform and influence with this blog. While my reach may not be very wide, I hope to use it to spread love and kindness. I hope you’ll join me in showing some love on the internet this week! Love y’all!

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels

  1. Hey girl, great post! Your vacay looked awesome. I am in total agreement with the internet bully situation. It seems to be so much easier for people to be (needlessly) ruthless when they don’t have to look the other person in the eye. I try to use my own tiny corner of the web to spread positivity as well. It’s always nice to come over here and read your good – and often funny – vibes!
