Three x Three Challenge with Clay Chick Ceramics

Happy Thursday friends! I’m excited to partner with Clay Chick Ceramics, a Lexington-based ceramics company to share some decorating and entertaining inspo with y’all. Stacy Vollet, the mastermind behind Clay Chick, was introduced to ceramics by her grandmother as a young girl. While living in Australia with her husband she fell in love with ceramics painted by local artists. Stacy moved to Lexington in 1998 and bought a kiln for fun. She began making gifts for friends, and then they began requesting gifts for their friends, and thus Clay Chick was born. They create personalized gifts for every occasion and functional pieces that will brighten your home. My favorite thing about Clay Chick is that each piece is so versatile! They have a line of basics with items like trays, a kitchen jar, picture frame, and dispenser that you can dress up with removable embellishments, like a snowman, watermelon or cupcake, and personalize with a monogram, date, quote etc. So, you can switch embellishments for each season/holiday without having to constantly bring in new decor in your home! The embellishments are attached with velcro so you can easily remove and personalizing is always free!

You can shop Clay Chick Ceramics online here, or if you’re in Lexington they are having a warehouse sale this Saturday, February 2, from 10am-3pm at 1411 Delaware Ave. You’ll get 20% off purchases of $100 or more or 30% off purchases of $200 or more both at the warehouse sale and online. If you choose to shop online, you can pick-up in Lexington for free or get things shipped to you.  I got to preview the sale and there is so much good stuff at amazing prices! Lots of goodies for Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter and Mother’s Day, plus great gifts to stock up on! I’m planning to attend Saturday to snag a bunch of these bourbon barrel ornaments for my wedding welcome bags and pick up a few gifts.

I was so inspired after visiting the Clay Chick warehouse to find unconventional ways to decorate and entertain. I decided to take three of their items and find three ways you can use them in your home. Check them out below!

Cookie Jar

  1. Flower Vase: I’d be happy to receive a vase full of cookies 😉 But they make a great flower vase! The eye-catching polka dot design adds fun and whimsy to your arrangement.
  2. Utensil Holder: Keep this right by your stove for all your cooking utensils. I love that you can add embellishments to Clay Chick’s pieces so that you can swap out fun decor in your kitchen to a functional item without taking up precious counter space.
  3. Serving Piece: I used mine to display popcorn, but it would be great for any type of chip etc. I used a detachable embellishment and a dry erase marker to label for my guests.

Rectangular Board

  1. Serving Board: Y’all know I love a good cheese board. This tray is classic looking and perfect for charcuterie, appetizers, cookies etc.
  2. Menu: I love the idea of displaying your menu when hosting guests. The great thing about a ceramic board is that you can use a dry erase marker on them no problem! How fun would it be to display your dinner menu every night for your family?
  3. Memo Board: Again, the dry erase marker is so handy! I used my board to decorate a popcorn bar, but you could also use it to countdown to a big family event, welcome guests to your home or just to jot down notes.

Ornament

  1. Seating Place Card: The beauty of the dry erase marker.. you can resuse ornaments over and over again to make unique seating place cards!
  2. Party Favor: Just add a little tag and place these in a basket by the door for your guests to grab on their way out. I’m going to put these in my wedding welcome bags for out of town gifts!
  3. Gift Tag: Clay Chick has such cute Kentucky-themed ornaments, pick up a couple to add to a bottle of bourbon or a monogrammed one for wine for gifts. A fun way to make your hostess gift stand out! You can personalize the back of the ornament with a message for the recipient.

I hope y’all were inspired to find ways new ways to use decor in your home! And I hope to see you at the Clay Chick Ceramics warehouse sale this Saturday, February 2, from 10am-3pm at 1411 Delaware Ave!

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels
