Y’all loved the Green Chili Cheesy Sausage Cups recipe I shared last fall, so had to come up with another delicious cheesy recipe using my favorite local Green Chili Jam! This dip is cheesy, full of bacon, and has the perfect balance of sweet and savory from the Green Chili Jam. It’s perfect for all the cookouts and backyard get togethers coming this summer. Green Chili Jam is made in Louisville. It’s similar to a pepper jelly, but so much better.. the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. You can use it as a dip, glaze or sauce. I recommend spooning it over cream cheese for a delicious and easy appetizer. Scroll down to the end of this post for a discount code! PS: This recipe is definitely better with Green Chili Jam, but if you can’t find it, you can also use pepper jelly!
Cheesy Green Chili Bacon Dip
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Green Chili Jam (if you can’t find the jam, you can also use pepper jelly)
- 8oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or mayo
- 2 cups cheddar jack cheese
- 10 slices crispy bacon, finely chopped
- 5 scallions, diced
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Add 1/3 cup of the Green Chili Jam, cream cheese, greek yogurt or mayo, 1 1/2 cups cheddar jack cheese, half of the bacon and the scallions in a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
- Spread mixture in an 9in pie pan. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar jack cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Top with remaining 1/3 cup of Green Chili Jam and sprinkle with remaining bacon.
- Serve with tortilla chips and crackers.
