Mini Philly Cheese “Steak” Sliders

I originally shared this recipe on Instagram and y’all loved it so much I decided it deserved a permanent home on the blog! Mini Philly Cheese “Steak” Sliders combine all the flavors you love of philly cheese steaks, but use ground beef to make it a more approachable recipe. These are great for a game day get together, but also just a fun way to mix up dinner for your family. They also keep and reheat well if you have leftovers!

Mini Philly Cheese “Steak” Sliders, makes 12 sliders

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, sliced thin
  • 1/2 small white onion, sliced thin
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/3 cup mayo
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Brown beef on medium high, season with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper and worcestershire
  3. Once fully cooked, remove beef from pan and drain, reserving enough grease to coat the pan
  4. Turn heat to medium and add peppers and onion, season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper and cook for 7-10 minutes until soft
  5. Slice rolls in half and place bottom half in a 9×11 pan, spread with mayo
  6. Layer beef, peppers and onions, cheese, then top half of the buns
  7. Combine melted butter, garlic and parsley and pour over the buns, using a brush to evenly coat
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, uncover then bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are golden brown
