Shop Local Gift Guide 2021

My favorite gift guide to put together every year is my local guide! I’ve rounded up my favorite items from my favorite Kentucky shops and makers.

Kentucky Gift Basket $30-125

Local Kentucky Gift Baskets, curated by Lexington Blogger Lex Eats featuring food and gifts lexeats.com

I am selling local gift baskets featuring food and goods from Kentucky! Baskets start at $30 and there are options for everyone on your list. I’m also offering gift boxes that I will ship directly to the recipient for you! Check them out here.

BHG Private Selection Bourbon $35-100

Bourbon is an obvious Kentucky gift, but now you can give exclusive bottles picked out by the team at Bluegrass Hospitality Group! I have gotten to go on a few of these picks where you taste through different barrels of bourbon and pick out a barrel unlike what you would normally find on the liquor store shelf. Buy bottles picked by the experts from BHG at OBC Kitchen. Starting 11/15, there’s also a promotion on BHG gift cards – for every $100 in gift cards you’ll receive a $20 certificate. Protip: if you find you’ve forgotten someone last minute, BHG also has egift cards you can send immediately via email or print at home.

Clayton & Crume Leather Nameplate Belt $125

Clayton & Crume out of Louisville makes the most gorgeous leather goods. This custom belt would be a great gift for any guy in your life. They also have coasters, croakies, bags and more.

Crank & Boom Ice Cream price varies

Crank & Boom is now shipping their ice cream nationwide via goldbelly! You can pick from different collections like the ‘Flavors of Kentucky’ or dairy free. I think this would be the perfect gift for a homesick Kentuckian, far away friends and family or clients. Crank & Boom also offers lots of goodies for stocking stuffers, teacher, hostess, neighbor or mailman gifts. There are hot chocolate and marshmallow sets, mugs, etc.. YUM!

Dafri Studios Print $30

I found this local artist at Julietta Market last year and gave one of his prints to my brother. He also makes greeting cards, pillows and tumblers featuring his art. I would recommend stopping at Julietta Market to see it all in person!

Double Barrel Honey $12

Double Barrel Honey

A family friend makes this honey aged in bourbon barrels and it is so delicious! Also such a uniquely Kentucky gift. I plan on keeping a couple bottles on hand for hostess gifts. Shop online or it is available at several places in Lexington/surrounding area including Critchfield’s, Good Foods, Old Kentucky Chocolates, Peggy’s and several more.

Keeneland Horse Racing Game $110

This horse racing game would be a fun family gift! This simple and exciting game can be played with both small and large groups. To play, line up the horses at the starting gate, deal the cards, begin rolling the dice to scratch horses and starting building your pot. The remaining horses race to the finish line. Hold the winning horse’s card and you win!

Pasta Garage Pasta Making Class

I love to give experiences, and have actually gifted this pasta making class to a few people! It’s such a fun, interactive, and tasty experience. You can’t buy a gift certificate for the class itself, so I’ve just bought gift certificates, or wrapped up a box of pasta and wrote “Pasta Making Class” on it!

Stuarto’s Olive Oil Sampler $67

My family has loved Stuarto’s since they first opened in Lexington years ago! They have such unique and high quality olive oil and vinegars. We love to mix and match different flavors and dip bread in them. This sampler pack would be a great gift for the hard to shop for person.

Custom Bourbon Barrel Piece from The Barrel Market price varies

The Barrel Market has really cool custom gifts for the bourbon enthusiast. They make furniture, shelves, gift boxes, art and more out of bourbon barrels and staves. Their website doesn’t have many photos, so I recommend going in store or checking out their Facebook page

I love Weisenberger Mill’s baking mixes! The pancake mix is my favorite. This set would be a fun gift to send to out of town family. Or just grab individual bags for stocking stuffers!
