Sunday Reading V.36

Happy Sunday folks! I’m writing to you from the Miami airport after a relaxing weekend in the sun. I’ve got to say I was not one bit jealous of the snow in Lexington. I actually have to be back at the airport less than 24 hours after I land to head to a work conference in Vegas, so I’m hoping by the time I’m home for good Spring weather will be here to stay. *fingers crossed*

Matcha Cruffin from Chez Bon Bon

I was in Miami with my family for a long weekend. We stayed at the Fountainebleau in Miami Beach and mostly hung out at the pool and beach. And ate a lot of good food, of course 😉 We had a great dinner at LT Steak & Seafood. The popovers they serve before dinner were amazing and they had one of the best flourless chocolate cakes I’ve ever tried. We also had awesome tapas at Beaker and Gray. If you go you must get the cheeseburger croquettes, shrimp and polenta and sweet potato gnocchi. Chez Bon Bon at the Fountainebleau has unique and tasty baked treats I may or may not have indulged in every day. Besides being beach bums, we did venture out to Wynnwood, the arts district of Miami with lots of cool design shops, street art and great restaurants and bars. The Wynnwood Walls are a complex of street art in the old warehouse district and a must see if you’re in Miami.

Highs & Lows

High: OMG did I need some sunshine. This trip could not have come at a better time!

Low: Travel is fun, but I’m already a bit tired thinking about back to back trips. No complaints, though!
