Trader Joe’s Holiday Snack Board

I made another epic snack board featuring all the fun holiday stuff from Trader Joe’s! Snack Boards are so much better than cheese boards because you get the option of salty or sweet treats. You can basically serve an entire meal on a board. I made this holiday one using all items I found at Trader Joe’s.

Some of my favorite treats for the holidays are included. Chocolate and peppermint is maybe my favorite combo, so I couldn’t turn down the peppermint Joe Joe’s (Trader Joe’s version of Oreos.) I discovered stroopwaffles in Amsterdam, they are like mini crispy waffle cookies with caramel in the inside. The Lucy Rose apple is a new addition to Trader Joe’s, it is the most beautiful pink color inside and the perfect combo of sweet and tart.

Ingredients

  • Brie
  • Cranberry covered goat cheese log
  • Gingerbread men cookies
  • Stroopwaffle cookies
  • Butter toffee pretzels
  • Lucy rose apple
  • Pomegranate
  • Pomegranate pistachio crackers
  • Candy Cane Joe Joe’s
  • Roasted Pepita Salsa
  • Tortilla chips
  • Pepper Jelly

Directions

  1. Start by placing your cheese on opposite sides of the board. I like keeping the wrapper on so that it doesn’t make a mess if you need to move things around.
  2. Add two small bowls on the opposite corners of the cheese. Add one small ramekin beside the brie.
  3. Fill one bowl with the butter toffee pretzels and the other with the pepita salsa.
  4. Fill in the space between the cheese and the bowl of pretzels with pomegranate pistachio crackers.
  5. Add tortilla chips around the salsa bowl.
  6. Slice the apple and fill in the center of the board.
  7. Add the stroopwaffle cookies on the other side of the pretzel bowl.
  8. Fill in the space between the cheese and salsa bowl with Joe Joe’s in rows.
  9. Slice your pomegranate in half and add to opposite sides of the board where there may be empty space.
  10. Fill in empty space between the tortilla chips and cheese with gingerbread men.
  11. Fill in any empty spots with extra chips/crackers/cookies to make it look full.

You obviously don’t need to follow a recipe to make a snack board, but this just gives you an idea! Watch the video below to see exactly how I made mine. A few tips:

  • You can assemble your board ahead of time, just don’t fill the salsa bowl and keep that and the cheese in the fridge.
  • Set your cheese out about an hour before you’re ready to serve so it has time to soften.
  • I like to cut into my cheese before guests arrive so they aren’t afraid to dig in!
