Palm Springs Bachelorette

This post is long overdue, I know! I had the most fun bachelorette trip to Palm Springs, CA, in April and several of you have requested our recommendations. I chose Palm Springs honestly because I had seen it all over Instagram and it just seemed like “my aesthetic.” Ha, you can hate me for saying that, but really I just wanted a warm weather destination that would have a good mix of activities and fun places for us to go out without being too crazy. I like a fun, but laid back vibe, and Palm Springs was just that. Check out where we stayed, everything we ate and all the fun below!

Where to Stay for a Palm Springs Bachelorette

We stayed in an Airbnb with a pool and great view close to downtown. We opted against a hotel because we wanted to be able to cook at home and hang out by our own pool. This spot was the perfect size for our group of 9 and in a great central location. Get $40 off your first Airbnb booking here! There are a lot of fabulous hotels in Palm Springs too. The Saguaro looked really cool if a hotel is more your style.

Where to Eat & Drink for a Palm Springs Bachelorette

Brunch: My favorite meal. We visited Jake’s, a casual/contemporary American bistro with cute outdoor seating, Cheeky’s, a modern breakfast spot with bacon flights (!) and other creative dishes, and Norma’s at the Parker, an open air terrace that serves breakfast all day.

Dinner: Birba, a modern Italian restaurant with idealic outdoor seating.

Drink: Toucans Tiki Lounge is a gay bar and lounge with drag queen performances and great for dancing.

Ice Cream: Lolli and Pops had allll kinds of candy and delicious ice cream.

We did a Saturday through Tuesday itinerary because it worked out better with flights and everyone’s schedule. We arrived early on Saturday and went to our Airbnb to drop off stuff before heading to brunch. Then we walked up and down Canyon Dr., the main drag of downtown Palm Springs, shopping and exploring. Saturday night we cooked dinner at home and played games before going out to Toucans. Side note, we did Walmart grocery pick-up and it was so easy to stock up on everything we needed for the weekend. Sunday was a bit of a recovery day. We lounged by the pool, ate In-N-Out and watched Game of Thrones (it was the battle with the Knight King episode!) That night we went to dinner at Birba and to a few bars on Canyon Dr.

Monday the group split up, some of us did a spa day at  The Parker Hotel (my choice) and the others went to the aerial tramway. The Parker was like 75% of my inspiration for wanting to go to Palm Springs. The design is by Jonathan Adler and the hotel is the backdrop for some of Gray Malin’s most famous work. The spa was amazing and just walking through the hotel was an experience of itself. The group that did the tram said it was really cool, they got great pictures and got to do a little hike. We also drove by Frank Sinatra’s house, which is in a cool neighborhood with modern architecture. That night we played True American, a drinking game from New Girl, ate pizza and enjoyed our last night!

Tuesday some of the girls had to leave extra early. The rest of us snuck in one last brunch before heading to the airport. It was exactly the trip I was hoping for – all my favorite people in a cool destination with lots of good food and fun! I highly recommend Palm Springs as a bachelorette destination, or for just a girls weekend. I did a lot of research for this trip and saved all of the destinations on a Google Map; I got way more restaurant recommendations than we would ever be able to get to so make sure to check it out if you’re making a trip. If you’re interested in more about our wedding planning process check out this post and stay tuned for more coming next week!

Biscuits & Blessings,
