Wedding Planning Update Part 2

We are ten days out people! In case you missed it, I shared a wedding update a few months ago, but figured it was time to fill you in on some more details. We are tieing up all the loose ends, but still have a few things to figure out.

Invites: We ended up working with Emily of Cardinal & Straw and have been so pleased. She designed this little monogram that I’m obsessed with and we ended up putting on the programs as well. We went pretty simple with the invites, I just wanted a touch of gold.

Transportation: We booked a bus for the day of and then Rolls Royce as our getaway car from Gold Shield. They came highly recommended and I’ve used them through work a few times. I wasn’t dying to do a getaway car, but everyone talked me into it! Speaking of, we still don’t have sparklers or anything for the “getaway”. I’m in between sparklers and stealing a different creative idea from a friend’s wedding.. obviously need to figure that out like today.

Menus: The fun part! We did a tasting at LCC to pick out our menu and it’s going to be delish. We are doing passed appetizers and stations. I felt pretty strongly about not having a sit down dinner because I didn’t want it to take up too much time. I won’t share the exact menu so it can be a surprise for our guests!

Registry: We ended up registering at Zola, LV Harkness and Peggy’s Gifts. We did the majority on Zola: all of our practical house stuff, everyday dishes, sheets etc. We did china and some serving ware at LV Harkness and then serving ware and decor from Peggy’s, which was the first to get cleared out! I definitely recommend having both online and instore shopping options, especially for showers.

Favors/Gifts: These are the little things that you don’t think are that big of a deal and then you look at how many little things are on your list and they all add up. I don’t want to share too much here either, so will just say we have fun favors for the dance floor! We are also doing a Kentucky-themed gift bag for out of town guests.

First Dance: We have our songs picked out and just finished our last dance lesson at

Beauty: It is straight up silly how many appointments I have next week. I got an exfoliating facial at Fizz Facial Bar today. I am getting a hydrafacial at Hourglass next Tuesday. We’re doing mani pedis at The Nail Shop on Thursday then I’m getting a spray tan from No Lines Tanning. Finishing it all up with blowouts at Drybar on Friday before my bridal tea. Thinking I need to work a massage in there somewhere 😉

Fitness: I have been following T.R.I.M. Bootcamp pretty religiously for the past six weeks. I’ve been working out about five times a week including working with a trainer at LIFT twice a week. My other workouts are classes through Classpass (news service where you can go to classes at a bunch of different local studios/gyms – get $40 off your first month here!) or I do TRIM workouts at home. I’ve lost about 15 pounds and feel pretty confidant in my dress! TRIM is actually starting a new round this Monday, I would love for you to join me – sign up here and use code LEXEATS for $10 off.

I know I’m forgetting things, but that gives you a pretty good picture! If you’re interested in more about the wedding, check out our first wedding update here and how I asked my bridesmaids here. We’re going to get our marriage license this Friday and meeting with our minister one last time next week then I think we’re good to go! This will probably be the last blog post until after the wedding and honeymoon, so make sure you’re following on Insta if you want to see snaps from our honeymoon in Singapore and Bali!

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels
