Peanut Butter Layer Bars

Hello Dollies are one of my favorite holiday recipes. They are layer bars made with a graham cracker crust, chocolate and butterscotch chips, nuts and coconut. I was thinking about what new holiday recipes this year and I had the idea to try and make a peanut butter version of Hello Dollies! I used the same base recipe, but with peanut butter chips and heath bar pieces. You could also use white chocolate chips instead of the heath, or just more chocolate and peanut butter chips. I made these for a Christmas party last week and they were a big hit!

Peanut Butter Layer Bars, serves 12-15

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heath bar pieces (in baking aisle with chocolate chips)
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (I like pecans or walnuts)
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 320
  2. Melt butter in a 9×13 pan (I just put the butter in the pan while it’s preheating
  3. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over melted butter and press down to make a crust
  4. Layer chocolate chips, chopped nuts, heath bar piece and peanut butter chips chips, each in their own individual layers
  5. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the bars
  6. Bake for 30 minutes

Let me know what y’all think about the peanut butter version!

Biscuits & blessings,

Leels
